THIS COULD BE YOUR HOUND! ——->

Now’s the time to submit your best basset photos (limit four per family, with no humans included).

Send submissions, including your hound’s name, via e-mail (BHRSCadoption@gmail.com) by March 4 to win a picture of the month spot in the 2013 BHRSC calendar!

You can also purchase a calendar date square to feature your hound for $10 (great for “gotcha” days, holidays, etc.).

* Submit a picture of your hound with your first, second and third date choices. But hurry: photo days are limited to eight per month!

Get your business recognized, too, on the sponsor page of our calendar for $50.

* Submit a .pdf version of your business logo as soon as possible to reserve your spot (only six available)!

** Payments can be submitted by PayPal or mail and indicate a “calendar date” or “calendar sponsor” purchase. THANK YOU!

KELLY DAY!

Because she’s the recipient of this month’s Houndful of Thanks volunteer award.

Kelly was nominated for this honor for reliably (and without hesitation) stepping up to complete long-distance transports. Her unconditional love for the hounds is very clear. She, along with her vehicle, is always there for them!

Want to join our dog pack? Great! We need to fill lots of positions to help keep our hounds extra happy.

Get your feet wet with BHRSC by walking hounds at our partner veterinary clinic in Newport Beach. Or really dig in by researching grant opportunities to help fund BHRSC rescue efforts.

However you choose to help (and there are many other opportunities), you’ll be helping hounds in need! So what are you waiting for?

Hi! My name is Lucy!

I’m a lovely, 8-year-old,
basset lady.

I came to BHRSC with a “boo-boo,”
but now I’m on the mend! Even when
I wasn’t feeling so well, I was all wags.

I never really act my age, which a good thing. … I’m full of youth! And I’ll be your best friend forever if you let me join you on a long walk.

I’m spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. My adoption fee is $250.
